DIY Dictionary Page Pendant. Tutorial for beginners using Mod Podge Dimensional Magic (or you could use resin, Diamond Glaze, etc…). Really great idea because you can use her clever idea (she doesn’t rip apart books) and use other words like “dance”, “hope” - or whatever your mind thinks up. Tutorial at One Artsy Momma here.

Positive. Thinking.
I bought two real awesome vintage travel poster for Bermuda today. they were only $20. They are both from the 20’s/30’s. One I call “Bathing Beauties” and it’s a beach scene, gorgeous and the second one is a couple looking out from the balcony of a ship at the harbor in Hamilition and it says “Bermuda by air or sea”. So excited! I want to get them framed so I can hang them. Except it will be super expensive to frame them here. I believe that will have to wait till I’m home and hang them in my next apartment.
I vowed to myself that I would be a better tourist. I will explore more of this beautiful island and now that I have free reign of the scooter and I’m a much better driver I’m working on going out more. For example, today I ate lunch, by myself of course, in a cafe in a art gallery next to a rose garden. It doesn’t get more beautiful than that. Plus, I went to what is called by locals as the best thrift shop in Bermuda, The Barn. They only charge 50cent per book. Thats incredible! Thats better than thrift shops back home. I’m impatiently awaiting the arrival of my parents visit. I know I’m going to burst out crying when I see my mom and dad. On a side note, I looked up prices of plane tickets to go to Georgia for Thanksgiving just on a whim and they were $557. Guess I’ll be ignoring that impulse and will have a Bermudian Thanksgiving. I did find a society called The American Society in Bermuda which celebrate all American Holidays and throws wine and cheese parities so we can all mingle with our country-men. And sing little shanties about the sweethearts we left back home or just eat a lot…probably the latter.
I’m going to go get a little lost in all of the books I bought today….till next time.
